Apartment house with law office in Nové Mesto nad Váhom

The bachelor thesis deals with the design of a multi-purpose building, which will be used mainly for long-term housing. In order to create a space for use in administrative work in the area, the building also considers the area for this activity. For this purpose, the land was perfectly suited to the function of the future building on the fringe of the town Nové Mesto nad Váhom. The land is flat, located in a built-up area with family and apartment houses, on the corner of streets named Bzinská and Odnrej Plachý. The place in the nineties served as a public city swimming pool for recreation and sport. The land has been unused since the end of this activity. Therefore, the intention of the building would not only be enriched by the housing stock of the city, but also the value of the dilapidating land would increase. The building is designed as a detached storey house with one underground and four above-ground floors. It is divided into a residential part and an administrative part with separate entrances. The building is covered with a flat single-skin roof with attic around the perimeter. All entrances to the building are designed as barrier-free. The residential area on the ground floor contains a housing unit and its facilities and equipment designed for three people with limited mobility and orientation. Other higher floors have two apartments for four people. The apartment part includes a basement, where each apartment is assigned a cellar. Furthermore, in the basement there are common areas for residents such as a workshop, a store of common garden furniture and tools, a gym with sanitary facilities and a common room with a toilet. There is an elevator machine room, a boiler room and a cleaning room with the facilities of the operators in which only authorized persons will have access to the facility.
